Grandma's - Near Southside Fort Worth
About This Spot
Stepping into Grandma's on West Magnolia is like entering a familiar living room where everyone seems to know your name—or at least your favorite drink. This spot carries the easy-going charm of a neighborhood bar with a touch of spirited friendliness that invites you to slow down and stay a while. The pace here isn’t rushed; instead, it breathes with the rhythm of relaxed conversations, shared smiles, and the occasional burst of karaoke on Sunday nights, blending a sense of community with an unmistakable local heartbeat.
The atmosphere is warm and unpretentious, the kind that draws a diverse crowd—from longtime regulars who lean into the well-stocked bar counter to newcomers discovering the comfortable buzz of Fort Worth’s Near Southside. Behind the bar, you’ll find attentive care that feels personal rather than polished, helping each drink—a crisp margarita or a simple vodka with lemon and water—land just right, becoming part of the evening’s unfolding story.
Beyond the drinks, there’s an inviting neighborhood spirit here that extends beyond the usual bar scene. Right next door, the option to pick up freshly baked cookies provides a whimsical twist, offering a cozy nod to sweeter moments that pair naturally with your glass. It’s the kind of thoughtful detail that makes Grandma’s feel less like a stop on the map and more like a comforting ritual woven into the fabric of local life.
Whether you’re settling in after a long day or meeting up with friends to unwind, Grandma’s quietly earns a place in your rotation—not through flash or hype, but by being a steady, welcoming presence where time slows enough to remind you what makes a neighborhood spot truly memorable.

Kendall is amazing. always remembers us and knows exactly what we want to drink. this is our “cheers” don’t pay attention to the people who came in just to roast Grandmas bc they have miserable lives.

Think Cheers meets San Antonio's Pearl--cozy neighborhood bar to chill n drink and karaoke on Sundays. Will need to go return with my posse. Next door, you can buy delish cookies and you can do your own beer and cookie pairing.

This is one of my favorite bars in the area. It has a welcoming atmosphere. Their service is good, and they make a good margarita. I do wish they had lemonade as a mixer. Bonus: the restrooms are always clean and well stocked!
